I am using handbrake and vid coder to convert a 1280 x 720 video to a 720 x 406 video but some reasons everytime I am done converting and play it, the audio is out of sync and there is an image lag. My setting is keep aspect radio and Anamorphic NONE. Is there something else I am missing?

But HandBrake (and subsequently the HandBrake based VidCoder) are known to handle VFR just fine. Maybe the player doesn't like it, though? In HandBrake's video tab you can choose "Constant Framerate". Try that. If it's still out-of-sync try the latest HandBrake nightly. If it's still out-of-sync report a bug. Of course it's possible the source file is broken somehow and it's not easily convertible.

Above is the file that had issues.
Below is a file that actually worked fine in the past. Everything looked kind of similar so I don't know if there is something missing in my new laptop. I kind of was able to fix the image lag by reducing 720 x 406 to something lower but the audio is still out of sync.

No luck when I tried using constant frame rate. But, when I tried on a different laptop it worked. So that means something is missing on my new laptop. Do you have any recommendation which codec I should get that I might be missing.
