    Hi,

    I am trying to merge a couple of short videoclips into one using VD but when i try to open the videofiles (AVI) i get an error message saying
    "Couldn`t locate decompressor for format H264"

    Any idea what kind of codec i need to install for this to work? I am running VD on my PC with Win 10 64-bit.

    One option is x264vfw. It should install a decoder powered by libav, so installing ffdshow would be about the same thing, but that might take over decoding of a bunch of other formats if you aren't careful.
