    I want to edit some video of my daughter playing soccer but she's moving across the frame. I'd like to have it cropped where she's roughly in the center. I think Sony Vegas and Adobe after effects have something like this. Does anything else?

    Probably any editing software can do that, except maybe the bottom tier ones don't.

    Any video editor that supports key-frame editing can do it. Even Virtualdub via "Window Cropper" plugin can do it...

    It has different names but "tracking" is common. You must of course remember to zoom in so it has room to maneuver.
