    When converting a MOV file with Format Factory, I get this grey rectangle in my video. The rectangle is intermittent throughout the video, but only on the B&W film, not the color. I tried all the formats in format factory, with same result. I think it’s related to audio settings, because when I disable audio in the FF controls, the rectangle is on 100% of the video.

    Very strange problem.

    But easiest is just to try another free converter like xmedia recode, handbrake, vidcoder, etc.

    I couldn't find a subtitle option on format factory
    There is an"additional Subtitle" option. The choices are:
    Type: none, automatic, embedded, ansi, Unicode, utf8

    I chose "none",.. no change after conversion
