  1. I searched and found that I have to enable MPC Options -> Playback -> enable "auto-load subtitles", but I can't find this option... I have the latest version, does anyone knows what I am doing wrong? I haven't installed any other filter or prog... just MPC-HC.

    Thank you in advance!

  5. The option was replaced by a list of subtitle renderers in the "Playback"->"Output" settings. Choose "internal subtitle renderer" there and also make sure the video renderer (also in output options) supports subtitles (green check mark for "Subtitles").

  6. Unfortunately I have them already enabled...

  7. If the file names are too different to trigger the auto-loading you need to drag&drop the subtitle file into the player after starting the movie.

Otherwise make sure you have the subtitles enabled:

  8. Thank you again for your answer, I was just wondering if this can be done without drag&drop but automatically as with other players.

  9. It should work automatically as long as the filenames are similar. Example:
    movie.mkv
    movie.eng.srt

    What are the file names?

  10. Which other players automatically load the subtitles if the file names aren't similar?
It's not something I've tried, but I'd imagine it would limited you two a single video file with subtitles per folder, or it'd get messy quickly. What would happen if you had several video files and several subtitle files in the same folder but each with unique names?

  12. Exactly I have PotPlayer that plays them in this way, as BS.Player, but MPC-HC can't manage it... does anyone has any other ideas? And the file names are not similar...

Then give a try to (xy-)VSFilter (NOT the autoloading version) and don't use the internal subtitle renderer of MPC-HC

Set it to 'prefered', and choose the subtitle file.

  14. MPC-HC can do manual loading (e.g. via drag&drop) on its own just fine but he wants automatic loading. I don't think MPC-HC can do that so he would have to ask the developers to include that capability.

No player will play different subtitles names if there are a few videos, just rename the sub to the video name.
    I think,therefore i am a hamster.

  16. Thank you for your answers.

I don't want to install other prog but to manage it with MPC-HC. I am talking about 2 files (one movie one sub) with different names. I know that I can rename the sub to the video name or drag and drop the sub, I just want the MPC-HC to make it automatically as other players... Is this possible?

  17. What is so bad about renaming, that the two files have the same filename? I just don't get it. If I had more files together with different filenames in one folder it would be very messy.

My friend thank you for your answer but other progrmas has this option, it is not only me that I thought about it! And why is so bad not to renaim them and just play them automatically? It is not a poll, I am just asking to see if if this is possible with MPC-HC...

  19. If you have some more files like me, it would be veeeery messy, so in some weeks you don't know what should be together.

If you have more files in a file structure -> more folders with the two files in it, you can simply batch rename the subtitle files to the according videofile, if you want.

  20. Stick to the working solution, that's simply the best.
