Handbrake's advanced tab settings for a slide show video conversion

Hello,

I have to convert a PowerPoint slide show video into another frame rate, for upload to facebook.

The conversions with Handbrake are great, but not consistent, it is only by chance that the video is flawless. Most come with some minor defects, as can be seen in the video below:



What advanced settings of Handbrake, in the commad line or on the Advanced tab, are to be selected to convert a slide show video flawlessly, without these defects?

Why?

Content should be encoded and uploaded in the same frame rate it was recorded.

First, there are a number of settings for getting optimal slideshows out of PPT. What are you using? Also highly depends on which PPT version you're using...

Next, is this a picture or video export? Or is it a screen recording? Lots depends on whether you need animations, filesize requirements, etc.

Next, what intermediate steps HAVE you taken (or were intending to take)?

If done right, your export/capture framerate will already match the framerate you'd want for YT.

Any MediaInfo data? Clip uploads?...

Why?

The video was initially intended for facebook and there a conversion is needed prior to uploading because the slides suffer heavy distortions, then Youtube has as well "come into play". You are right, it doesn't need to be converted for an upload to Ytb. I will edit the post.

Thanks. This one seems to have no option for changing the frame rate, which I need, as described above.

I've been converting PPT 2013 created 1920x1080 videos into various versions of x264 encodes with Handbrake. The settings I've been trying were 60 fps CFR, x264 Slow/Slower Film/Animation/Still Image/Grain/None High 4.1-5.1 and RF 18-16

All of the encodes contained 1 to 3 defects as depicted on the provided Vimeo video. By chance a faultless encode was produced and I want to figure out if certain command line or Advanced tab options could effect an essential improvement of a x264 encode.

What I pleasantly discovered is that the x265 codec (RF 14 admittedly on 'Slower') encodes robustly and consistently without a single flaw. I rely upon that and convert it back to x264 for Youtube, but still it'd be interesting to know if certain Handbrake options tweaking have the power to deliver consistency within the x264 framework.

I suspect you are having a decoding problem not an encoding problem -- decoding of the video that you open in Handbrake. If you use a lossless codec or a low loss, all i-frame codec for that intermediate video you won't have those types of problems.
