    hi
    i create a project and a sequence

if i import a video and drag in the time line i got a warning about the clip doesn't match the sequence

    ok
i have 2 option keep settings or change sequence setting

    now
if i select a piece/clip in the source video , and click insert or overwrite , premiere doesn't warn me
how can i fix it ?
i have my clip selected in the source vide in the time line

do i have only scale to frame and set to frame option to fix it ?

or can i adapt the sequence to my clip taken from the video source
    thanks

    Choices:
    1. Pre-process your clips so they'll match your intended sequence ahead of time (using AVISynth, ffmpeg, Virtualdub, etc).
    2. Let Premiere "interpret" your clips (properly) and then stretch/shrink and velocity control the FR, etc. to make it match.
    3. Let Premiere "interpret" your clips, but cheat and set it to interpret improperly so it tries to do the stretch/shrink for you (may or may not work right).
    4. Open your clip directly into Premiere, prior to making a sequence (using something like File:Open), or by finding the clip in explorer and right-clicking "Open With...(Premiere)". Premiere should conform the sequence automatically to match the clip (obviously only works for 1 clip format at a time).

Have you tried just playing with it and seeing which one works better for you?

    Hi Scott
    2) about
    2. Let Premiere "interpret" your clips (properly)
    what do you mean ?
insert video clip for source and effect control ->motion->scale?

    about 3)
    3. Let Premiere "interpret" your clips, but cheat and set it to interpret improperly so it tries to do the stretch/shrink for you (may or may not work right).

  4. Dragging a clip into a blank timeline or the new-item icon will create a sequence that matches the clip's properties.

Any clips you later add that do not match can be changed by right-clicking on the clip ond choosing sclae to frame size or set to frame size (I prefer using "set" because it holds quality better in resizing.) You can also choose multiple clips in the timeline and it works as well.

But really, the questions you are asking here are very basic stuff. It implies you are either to timid to experiment or too shy to look through the online help. Both would serve you well.

There is an item for that under general settings -- but it seems to work only with the first clip in a sequence as you've noted.

(During editing, I wouldn't want it popping up all the time -- but that's not your question.)

    hi
you know it's hard try to learn a program seeing my native language is not english
and most of the tutorials free and paid are in english

for example i' was looking yesterday for a while , a shortcut that let me slip/cut like the razor tool a clip where i have set markers or mark in & out

    i haven't found it

maybe there is no such shortcut , and i have to use always the razor tool

    control +k work for markers
but not for mark in and out

Vegas Pro is much more straightforward to comprehend.

Adobe Software has always been bloated and convoluted, in my opinion. Maybe I'm not smart enough, I guess.
