  1. Hi all,

I was trying to convert Red Planet to a VCD but Tmpeg comes up with this error.

    Format: MPEG-1 352x240 23.976fps CBR 1150kbps, Layer-2 44100Hz 224kbps
    Video: C:\DVD\VCD\Red Planet.avi
    Audio: C:\DVD\VCD\Red Planet.wav

Result: Illegal floating decimal point calculation order
    Dealing time: 00:17:00

    Any ideas
    Thanks

  2. that means there is corrupt frames in the movie. you can edit out the bad frames with virtual dub, or go to source range in tmpge and set it to a few seconds after you get that error for a start time.

  3. When it stops at 17 minutes, take note of SOURCE POSITION time up in the top right section. Open red planet in media player, and then forward to about 5 seconds of the Source Position time that was noted. Wach for 5 seconds, and your video will probably start playing corrupted stuff, anyway, what im getting at is that your video has bad/corrupted frames in it, most likely

  4. Install DivX Antifreeze find a link under tools and change in TMPGEnc. under Environmental settings: VFAPI plug-ins: DirectShow Multimedia File Reader priority to 1 by right clicking it and select Higher Priority

If this works as it did for me you wont have to cut out any frames but just have some pink blocks in those frames which go away after all the frames with errors pass
