  4. Use a DVD authoring program to author a DVD image and then burn it on a CD.

Be aware that this will work in very very few stand-alone players.

  6. How are you sure?

Do you actually know or do you just "think" that your player can?

There are probably less than 5 discrete models (i.e., not including re-badged units) in all the DVD players ever made that can play miniDVD.

  7. ohh, My bad, I looked at the APEX DVD Players...
They (most of them) said that they worked on the DVD Players list on the left... but I got home, and looked at my DVD's model... and it isn't on the list of compatibles... oh well...
too bad... but I like the XVCD...
Tip to people about the XVCD on the um, APEX 500w: It works great with playing an XVCD at 720x480 and 4000Kbits per sec... but some of the vids have troubles playing at that speed... its success at playing at that speed and res is marginal, but very exceptable.
I.E. it plays pretty good except for a few hiccups... and it will after a few runs through the whole disc mess up playing... but to fix that problem just turn it off on the front switch, then turn it back on. Its great...
too bad I don't have very many files that can use the resolution and bitrate...(not enough quality to warrant it.) the real problem mostly for me is that I have to use TMPGEnc 2.0 to encode the super high quality files... and its a little fussy...(wish Nero would Encode to the desired re and bitrate.)
