  1. Running OS X 10.11

Trying to convert a 24p video to 60fps using frame interpolation to create the additional frames. I am trying to achieve this smooth effect http://www.spirton.com/uploads/InterFrame/20110618-Sample-InterFrame.mkv

I can't find any way to actually do this on OS X. I have tried Premiere Pro CC 2015's optical flow feature, but the footage is not smooth. Here is a comparison video. The first clip is unedited, the second clip has the optical flow time interpolation effect turned on, but I don't see any difference between the two. https://www.dropbox.com/s/eyv6px01ghitljf/fps.mp4?dl=0

I have tried installing this: https://www.reddit.com/r/osx/comments/38c98i/60_fps_svp_thing_playback_on_os_x/
which leads to nothing but errors in terminal when trying to install pre-requisite applications. Plus, it looks like that is just for playback and not file conversion.

This seems like it should be an extremely simple file in/file out process, but I am having a very difficult time finding anything that can do this.

  2. Both halves of fps.mp4 are 24 fps and the frames are exactly the same except for the overlay. You need to render the optical flow version at 60 fps.
