  1. Newbie here, I've only been creating the normal VCD's with a 352x240 resolution. It doesn't look quite proportional on my TV and I just hate the 4:3 ratio period. Can you create a VCD with the 16:9 ratio. If yes then please give me some detailed information.

  2. well I'm no expert, but the only way I have found to do that is with a "letterboxed" format. I don't have a 16:9 TV, so it's the only way I can keep the whole picture in view. With letterbox though, you lose resolution in the black lines at top and bottom. When I did widescreen, I did it with 720x480 resolution XSVCD (which my apex player played this non-standard version fine, some may not), and the loss of resolution at the top and bottom black lines weren't a big deal. I used Tmpgenc with the movie aspect set to "center and keep aspect ratio 2". if I set it to "fullscreen" it will always play in my player at 4:3, and everyone looks skinny and long.
    Anyone have any better ideas?
