My apologies if this has been asked/answered before.
I'd like to edit and convert my DVDs but would prefer to keep the AC3 audio. With Handbrake, I can convert and keep the AC3 but cannot properly edit. The best editor is avidemux but it won't allow AC3.
Is there any way of doing what I want? Thanks for any advice offered.

Thanks guys, especially Kerry56. It never crossed my mind to choose MKV as the output format. Works a treat...
