Hey all,
I'm trying to hardsub .ass file (with custom style) using avidemux and the output video file is not working correctly.
For the video output I selected Mpeg 4 ASP (xvid4), and the output format AVI muxer... and my video is slowed down, it also doesn't have the subs on it.
When I change the output format to MP4, the speed is correct and the subtitles are there but the colors are all messed up.
I don't even know how to explain it, I've attached a screenshot.
I've done this before and it worked fine, so I'm not sure what I could be doing wrong this time.
If anyone could help me out that'd be great. Thanks!

Try cropping, padding, or resizing the frame to a mod 4 (at least) frame size. Ie, 812x392 or 816x396 .

I'm not really sure what you mean. By the way, the video is actually 832x468 but I just cropped it before posting on here. Should I still go ahead and resize?

Mod 4 means an integer multiple of 4: 4, 8, 12, 16, 20... Both 832 and 468 should be fine. If that is the size of your source video and the encoded video that shouldn't be the problem. But 814 is only mod 2. Many codecs don't like mod 2 frame sizes. The color problem in your sample image is typically what you get with mod 2 frame sizes.
