So, anyone happen to know what's the lowdown on this company and this product ? The description sounded promising. What is the company profile ? Is it another example of bundled, unwanted crapware, installer-packaged along with the app ? Is it just another screen recorder, of which there are already several free ones, or does it have some of the capabilities of programs like Net Transport or Tubedigger ?

My strong preference is to always look for actual video file downloads, but sometimes the only available instance(s) of something will be streaming. So, this could be a useful program category. However, I've used screen recorders, and the quality of what you can record that way has been decidedly inferior.

I know nothing about this program
But I have had excellent results with screen recording
    Provided I
Do not expand the window, aka record the exact resolution that is being streamed
Set the fps to match he stream ? May have to do short test recordings, when in doubt
    Use sufficient bit rate

    Thanks for your suggestions.

I have a feeling that Baldrick will know about this company.

After run-ins with toolbars, OpenCandy, browser redirectors, and detritus like AShelper and WShelper left behind (by Wondershare products, and those of several related companies), which can be hard to get rid of, I've gotten to be wary. That is one reason why the cautions in the Tools section descriptions here are quite valuable.
