hi I have a logitech webcam that is used for video conference. It comes with the software that could record video and create a video file

I'd like to know how to create a video with the webcam that records only audio (sound only) and it mixes with a couple of simple computer pictures??

Since I want to upload the video onto the youtube. Only video files (not audio) can be uploaded to youtube.

and I don't want my face revealed. I also do not want to cover the webcam with a cloth.

You're looking at it the wrong way. Record your webcam video as-is. Once it's done strip out the audio and add
it to any video or jpgs you like in a video editor (even Virtualdub can do this).

  3. Yes, you can use a free program like DVD Slideshow GUI or Windows Movie Maker to make videos from images and add the audio from your webcam video.

Yes, but how to ''strip out'' the audio part from the recorded video??

I have already downloaded virtualdub 7 64 bit.... please let me know how to extract the audio

  5. You should use MediaInfo (View -> Text) and copy-paste the result in a post as the answer you're looking for depends on this info.

  6. In VirtualDub use File -> Save Wave. Or use a demuxer like MkvExtractGUI or Mp4Muxer.
