    Well it happened.

My 3 yr old killed my disk.

    Thank god I made a backup...oh crap it's protected!

Does anyone know how to break the copy protection on a protected .ISO? Somehow this one slipped through my decrypter...

Thanks in advance for any help...

not sure. The original disk is now in three pieces. Never had this happen before. so I am not sure what to do with the iso to check.

Edit: I can play the ISO with no problem, but cannot make a new disc for the dvd player.

If you can play the iso with no issues then it most likely has no copy protection, why do you think it's copy protected?

When I burned a disc and tried it in the dvd player it came up with funky color patterns and digitized squares through the image. Used Imgburn to make the disc.

That not what happens with encrypted/copy-protected discs (CP'd rips won't play at all). Stuff like yours you see when you have a bad/corrupted encoding.

Time to buy replacement originals, I'd say.

ImgBurn can't burn protections...that can only be done at a pressing plant. As others have said, your recordable media is failing.

You can burn folders that were not decrypted,it doesn't mean you get a protected dvd again,it just means it gets all scrambled up due to the initial protection it had.

I tried it as an experiment and also the op did say the iso played with no issues, what player was involved?
