Hi
i have a premiere cc and encoder subscription and after a while i started to learn it
well i don't like encode ,it's old ,it's still cs6 and sometime crashed under w10
i have watched several videos about sony vegas 13 and seems that it can burn dvd and blu ray even without rendering
that seems amazing for me
vegas is expansive , another point i guess it has a strong copy protection , i'm worried that it can harm my operation system , i know (it's right they want to protect their software) but in the past i tried a software DXO (software for photo raw files) and it really did mess up my operation system when i uninstall it
may i ask you few question ?
1) does really sony vegas 13 burn video (dvd and blue ray) without rendering my project ?
2) can work with premiere cc , for example create a project with premiere and export without render it to sony vegas
3) is really so tough the copy protetion ? i mean can mess up other softwares or the operation system ? i'm under w10 pro 64bit that sometime seems more a pre pre pre pre beta
thanks

Of course not. It has to render somewhere unless it is 100% Blu-Ray compatible to begin with.
You can frameserve out of Premiere -- but since Vegas and Premiere have very similar functionality there's little point in using both.
If you're talking about hacking paid software, this conversation ends right now. -
hi
thanks
If you're talking about hacking paid software, this conversation ends right now.
i just said if the copy proctection could mess up the operation system , that's all
i'm paing for premiere and encoder , honestly i pay for lightroom and photoshop !
i'm only worried that it can mess up my operation system , and i'm talking about the trial version
sometime it's really very wearisome try to ask advises in this great forum ,because english is not my native language
i pay the adobe subscription , and when i can i use i use free software !!! -
Adobe is pretty good about not messing with your operating system, though like any complex software it places various folders in hard to find corners.
It's always a good practice to keep a clean disk image that you can restore if things go wrong.
Apologies for not understanding your question. You're braver than I am posting in your non-native language. -
hi
ok , that's ok , my english is really poor
i'm thinking to create an image and try vegas 13 , and if i don't like it ,i could restore the image
may i ask a question ?
do you use Premiere cc and vegas 13?
are there some features of sony vegas 13 really powerfull/better compared to premiere cc?
i mean maybe you work with premiere cc and sony vegas 13 , might you tell me which feature of vegas could i try ? features better then premiere cc 2015?
thanks -
I don't use Vegas Pro, but I'm incredibly impressed with the Movie Studio version of Vegas for its power to price ratio. I do use Premiere, partly because I it came in a suite with After Effects, Photoshop, Acrobat and other tools that I use all the time. It's features and implementation keep improving. My main NLE is Avid.
As to powerful features, it all depends on what you need. I use Avid because it has rock solid media management so I'm not spending all day looking for lost clips or waiting for things to render. Premiere gets you started quickly but tends to bog down toward the end of long projects. I have no reason to think Vegas is any different. All are excellent. All have particular strengths and weaknesses, all are used by professional broadcasters every day. -
hi
thanks smrpix
does movie studio burn dvd & blu ray?
does it feature a simple dvd & blu ray Authoring ?
seeing the price could be a good choice
i noticed that avi media composer has a subscription , no cheap like adobe , but affrontabile
thanks smrpix -
Sony's consumer DVD/BR Authoring tool is called DVD Architect and comes bundled with all but the cheapest version of Movie Studio.
If you have Premiere you are entitled to Encore.
Another good standalone is TMPGenc Authoring works.
Avid has a number of licensing plans, check their site to see if any makes sense to you. Avid does not have DVD/BR authoring.
All the products mentioned have free trials. -
hi
about Movie Studio HD Platinum http://www.sonycreativesoftware.com/moviestudiope/features
in the page there is that it has DVD and Blu-ray Disc™ authoring ,is it right?
thanks -
hi
thanks
so i don't need DVD Architect , do i?
in this case i wll try and seems cheap -
DVD Architect is included with Movie Studio in the platinum package. That's why the platinum version states it can do DVDs and Blu Rays.
