    How long should it take to get from:
    1) DVD to VCD
    2) DivX to VCD

    default machine is a 1.1GHz with plenty of HD space, and 128MB RAM
    all answers are greatly appreciated!

    Heh. I don't know about your 1.1Ghz, but my 500Mhz Celeron will do a 25-minute TV episode in about an hour with the lowest quality motion detection in TMPGEnc

    And over 6 hours for a two-pass VBR SVCD
