I don't think China will be easily pressured by foreigners into doing anything they don't want themselves.

Besides, any country that Redfox resides in can also be pressured into taking down Redfox. The risk of being taken down is not exclusive to DVDFab...

There are domains out there that are probably much more resistant to complying with official pressure than is China. (Tongo ?) Sort of "anything goes" zones. But we have also seen that some ISPs have been willing to do selective blocking.

Isn't a lot of the streaming also encrypted, though ? But there is a tremendous amount of "Web-DL" material constantly being released. So, I'm not too clear on just how the "scenesters" are managing that ?

Even if you are only backing up discs you own, you may have noticed that things like 2018 Sony releases have been failing miserably on current Fab and MakeMKV versions. (On the Redfox too ?? I wouldn't know.) The procedure just quits at an early stage. So, it looks like some of the latest protection schemes have the upper hand, at least for the moment.

I wouldn't say streaming is killing ripping, I have no problems at all with Sony's newest releases with using AnyDVD HD.

However, since DVDFab is a Chinese company, things are different. They too will gladly take the few million from Hollywood, but DVDFab will find a way to take the money and still sell the product.
Incredible, I just purchased the product a couple of months back. It was an extraordinary bit of programming that functioned admirably with VLC.

They should simply move to another nation like DVDfab did.
