hi.
I got a video from a bike crash where I really want to see what happend.. issue is it doesnt seem to want to start the stream of video/sound.
I have tried to start it in different players etc. but nothing works. File is about 2.8GB in size on the SD card / hdd
A guy on a differnt forum gave me this string to try and run
F:\ffmpeg-20160219-git-98a0053-win64-shared\ffmpeg-20160219-git-98a0053-win64-sh ared\bin>ffmpeg.exe -i "F:\GOPR9518.MP4" -map 0:a -map 0:v -c:v libx264 -crf 20 -crf_max 35 -c:a copy "F:\video1.mp4"
it returns:
F:\ffmpeg-20160219-git-98a0053-win64-shared\ffmpeg-20160219-git-98a0053-win64-shared\bin>ffmpeg.exe -i "F:\GOPR9518.MP4" -map 0:a -map 0:v -c:v libx26

Im at a longshot here. Anyone got any clues on what might be happening? - never had much experience with ffmpeg

Sounds like a tough issue. You may have a data error in the video stream shortly after the beginning of the original MP4 file. It's even interesting that the attributes of the video stream have been found, so there must be at least a "header" describing the content; but the content seems to be broken.
Your only hope is possibly that the decoder can find a later sync point where the video stream is correct again, but you may have to help ffmpeg here by enlarging the scanning duration. But here ends my knowledge. You could try adding useful values according to the error message you can read in the log:
Consider increasing the value for the 'analyzeduration' and 'probesize' options -
You could try recover_mp4_to_h264 or/and graus video repair tool and see if they can fix anything.
