    hi
i'm trying to set a keyboard shortcut to import media, but it's not working. (vegas 13) i've searched the commands and the only thing it seems to be the command is ImportMedia. but i've added a shortcut and the shortcut won't open the import media window.
    anyone knows what's going on?

  2. Import media from where? Your camera or a from a directory on your computer? I looked at the keyboard shortcut list and there is no importmedia shortcut. On my copy of Movie Studio 13 there is no 'import media' menu item. Only 'Add Media', Import DVD...", 'Get media from web'

on vegas pro 13 there is an import media, at least in my copy

and that allows me to import media from my computer
then there's the shotcut, which i've edited to ctrl+shift+r which doesn't do anything after even restarting the program

Have you tried mapping it somewhere else, that may be a disallowed combination?

    ah, finally!

    no, it's not disallowed.
it's just that there are two references to the action - (in the explorer tab and global tab - see second picture).
the shortcut needs to be edited on the global tab!

    thanks for the help
