I intend to purchase a subscription to MLB.TV soon. I have a Roku 2. I have 5Mbps cable internet service which is sufficient for MLB.TV.
I know I can view one BB game on one HDTV with the MLB subscription and the Roku. But, is there any easy way to stream that game
so my wife can watch the same game on a second HDTV in a different room or on her iPad over home wireless.

Will Plex or Serviio do that for me, or is there a better or easier way to

Nope. There is no easy way to restream such a stream.

And it's not okey to discuss how to rip/capture/record subscription/rental based streaming services in our forum.

There is away , not exactly streaming
    Real time HDMI split
Send the second signal from the splitter to an "HDMI over wireless transmitter"
    Or HDMI over coax transmitter
put the receiver on the wife's tv
    These devices come in sets
    Are not cheap, but work
But it is a way to extend the signal to a second tv beyond normal HDMI cable length

Thanks for the replies. Since I did state that I would purchase a MLB.TV subscription and stream it over my home LAN, I did not think I was doing anything
unethical, wrong or against forum rules.

If I were to use MLB on Chromecast I would be streaming source to router to Chromecast by wireless?

chromecasts can be had for as little as $20. i just use one on each tv. as for the laptop you can stream mlb.tv direct from their website.

Yes, I know. And it is possible to 'cast' the same stream to 2 or more Chromecasts (but not in perfect sync).
I was hoping to find an inexpensive way to broadcast a live stream over my home LAN......VLC, maybe?

vlc is a possibility, but i'd assume mlb.tv uses some form of streaming drm/encryption and it won't work. i could be wrong.
