I probably burn 100 dvds a month using Freemake Video Converter. I am very ignorant to settings or data when it comes to dvds or videos.
Here's the problem I am running into. I have a basketball instructional dvd. It has 4 different tracks. One for each lesson. I have converted each track to mpeg2 and also avi using Freemake Video Converter. When I use freemake to burn it to a dvd, the dvd flickers about every 10 seconds. Like I said earlier, I burn dvd's all the time and this seems to be the only dvd that flickers. The other dvd's I burn are copies of other burned dvds, but this particular one was bought at a store and is professional. So I am sure there are some settings that are not matched up and I have no idea what to do or what software I may need to download to change any settings. I am not a professional burner so I don't want to pay for any software. Any ideas of what the problem may be and how I may fix it? Thanks in advance.

    Oops. Missed the dvd part.

Does each mpeg2 play file ok?
Have you tried import the DVD/Video_Ts folder directly in Freemake?

Why not make a complete backup of the dvd using imgburn? If it's encrypted then use dvdfab(free trial) or the old DVD Decrypter.

I think Freemake has some built-in dvd decryption.

The original disks came on 4 separate dvds. I used Winx DVD ripper to convert them to 4 separate MPEG files (for some reason the version of Freemake I have doesn't have avi, or I can't find it). I then put these 4 mpegs in Freemake and made them into one dvd. That didn't work so I took each disk and grabbed the actual vob files from them and put them in Freemake and converted each to avi. That didn't work either. Still flickers. I use imgburn with all my other burning but thats only when I am burning one complete disk to another. Is there an option in imgburn to take these 4 disks and make one iso? As far as this being a "Store Bought" dvd, hopefully Im not doing anything wrong, I just want to make it into one disk. Thanks for replies.

OKey. I thought you had ONE dvd.

Does the mpg files from winxdvdripper play okey on your computer? Any flickering? If so must you use something else to rip and convert to mpg. Like install the free dvdfab passkey lite and then use vob2mpg on the dvd.

How big are those 4 mpg files?

You could try use AVStoDVD and add all 4 mpgs. Output as a single DVD. Burn with Imgburn.

Each file is about 500 Meg. It plays great on the computer, just when I burn it to disk. I did find all 4 individual lessons on YouTube and downloaded them, then put them on a disk and it works perfect. So, I accomplished my goal but I'd still like to learn more about this issue from yall.
