Since upgrading my PC to Windows 10 I am no longer able to run my much used editing program called Multiquence which was simple and easy to use. Can anyone recommend an alternative that will run on my new PC?
I know Audacity is probably the answer most will respond with, and I have used it in the past but for my humble skills it sometimes was a little too detailed and the display crowded ,
so is there a very similar on to Multiquence?
I dont want to do fancy tricks etc etc, usually just trim, fade, equalise and merge are the only options I use.

I guess you have tried goldwave? As they are the developers for Multiquence (http://goldwave.com/mqrelease.php#notes )

Audacity's user interface can be stripped down pretty well BTW by hiding toolbars.

  4. For editing wave files (it'll import some othe formats) I still use an old version of Nero Wave Editor that came with the Nero7 suite, but there's a standalone version and I'm pretty sure it's free. I find zooming and and out to view waveforms easier (using the mouse wheel) that it is with Audacity.

    You could try Wave editor.
