  1. Hi there,

I am trying to get to grips with Adobe Encore to make DVDs. I am trying to make a menu with several pages.

I have made the front main menu, with 'Play' and 'Episode Selection' buttons. The Play button is correctly set up to start episode one.

However, the problem I am facing is getting the 'Episode Selection' button to point to the next menu page. I think everything is set up, but it's still not working.

    Any ideas?

    Thanks
    Phil

Need more information. What have you done exactly in setting up the menus? Are you using the latest version of Encore?

  3. Screenshots showing your button and routing configuration in Encore would help.

Here are some screenshot for you. Basically, I have used this YouTube video in order to create the main menu and 'sub-menu' (being careful not to call it a multipage menu!

But, as per the comments on the YT page, the Episode Selection or Chapter button does not do anything - in both Preview or Build.

    Many thanks in advance,

    Phil

I did a bit of Googling and have discovered that the multipage menu is a Blu-ray feature and is not meant for DVDs. That is why the links do not work.
I NEVER used the multipage menu function. Your best bet is to just create a submenu and link to it from the main menu.

Ah, so, if I add two/three/four menus into the same project, the links should work?
    Thanks

Yes, that is correct. Make sure that you add PREVIOUS, NEXT and HOME/MAIN MENU buttons to the sumbenu page(s) so you can navigate properly.
