  1. I digitized a VHS tape, however, it contains clicks. The peak is variable, some clicks are at around -7.5dB, some are at around -16dB and so on. How could I remove them using Sound Forge?

    Thanks for the answers.

Sounds like a huge overkill......I'd just drag the file into GoldWave or Audacity.

  3. And what should I do after dragging the file into one of the mentioned softwares?

Same exact thing you would do in SoundForge, only with about 150 less buttons or steps or drop-down choices.
Are you looking for a step by step guide on how to crush all of the audio at -7.5dB and -16dB(whatever that is supposed to mean)?
For a dozen or so pops and clicks, I will seek out all of them individually, zoom in to isolate just that click and diminish the volume on that one....then move on to the next one.
Hell I've tracked down well over a dozen individual clicks....who am I trying to kid....

You can try to use the pencil tool, that sometimes works, or you go in and find the sections that are damaged and use the audio restoration feature, you only want to run it on sections, usually small, cause it will wreck the recording if you run over the entire thing. You can also cut out the pops and re blend the audio.
