MKV Metadata Tags

What is a good program to add in metadata about TV shows and movies in MKV format? I use MetaX to add TV show information but this is only for videos with MP4 format and not MKV. Can anyone please recommend a program?

MetaX is supposed to support

"MetaX supports MP4, M4V, MOV, AVI, MKV and WMV files."

but it depends on what Metadata you are trying to add. Not all metadata are allowed in all formats or containers (http://multimedia.cx/eggs/supplying-ffmpeg-with-metadata/). This pages happens to show that only a few are supported by MKV but there may actually be more.

Different encoders will vary on what they will encode to each format also. I've had pretty good luck using ffmpeg but again, not all work.
