  1. Hey Gang,

    I've been using ConvertXtoDVD for years now to convert .mkv and xvid files to a DVD strutcture. I was just wondering while I love the ease of use of the program are there any other converters that do the exact same thing, but produce better encoding quality? Thanks for the input.

    Videoredo can produce very nice/efficient 2-Pass MPEG2 encodings for DVD, and can even burn the disc. Not free but is easy enough to use.

    HCenc can also produce similiar 2-Pass results for DVD compliant MPEG2s, and accepts avisynth which is very helpful. Free, not as easy but more customizable.
