    Hi,

Since v7, the SPLITTING feature has been broken. Only v 6.9.1 still splits files into multiple files using chapter marks.

When I select "before chapters" for SPLIT MODE and "all" for chapter number, only ONE file is created as output.

    PLEASE fix this

I don't think we have any mkvtoolnix developers here.

You can report a bug here: https://mkvtoolnix.download/bugreports.html

Have you tested several mkvs with chapters? And no one works as before?

  3. I tested m4a with chapters as input using mkvmerge 8.8.0 and it splitted just fine.
Are you only trying to split a single audio track? When video tracks come into the picture mkvmerge will only allow splits at keyframes.

It's a single audio m4a file containing chapters. No video. It just gives me a single mkA as output. Maybe I'm missing a setting on the new mkvtoolnix app. Please send settings.

My file splits perfectly with v6.9.1

  5. No special settings, just "before chapters" and "all". Upload a sample.

That is EXACTLY the settings I use. Do I have to have some special codex installed for this new version? I cannot understand why the old version works but this new one only gives me a SINGLE file (uncut) output.

Here is the m4a in question : http://traffic.libsyn.com/anjunabeats/ABGT158_653347.m4a Just right-click and "SAVE LINK as..."

  7. Like I said: when a video track comes into the picture mkvmerge will only cut at video keyframes. Untick the video track.
