    Not possible
Notebook HDMI is video OUT, not an input
If you have a signal converter and a USB capture device you can record signals at the USB port

If your thinking game play capture
You buy some thing like the elgato..?
HDMI signal passes thru from game box to tv, and a captured signal is recorded to pc
Does not work for capturing Blu ray movies or other hdcp signals

Notebooks have HDMI-out ports to connect the computer with a monitor or TV, but the port can only provide video and audio output. HDMI-out ports can't accept video and audio input.

You would need a USB 2 or USB 3 HDMI capture device to allow the notebook to record video and audio input using an HDMI connection. However, I don't know of any software for HDMI capture devices that allows burning direct to DVD. You would have to record to a hard drive, then burn the DVD later.

  5. Thanks !
I was unaware that the HDMI is for outgoing information. Will try the USB 2.
    muchas gracias
