  1. Hi

I recently purchased a cheap capture card and while the card is working great with its bundled software, I need to open it up in VLC but no matter what I have tried within the VLC app it fails to open

I have tried the "AVerMedia LGP Stream Engine" and selected this in VLC with the Directshow option but keep getting a error the the source is incorrectly setup

has anybody any pointers on how to get VLC to open my captured stream?

oh I can open it with VLC if I put the following in a cmd prompt with FFMPEG

    ffmpeg -f dshow -video_size 1280x720 -rtbufsize 702000k -framerate 60 -i video="Video Capture Device":audio="Video Capture Device" -r 30 -threads 4 -vcodec libx264 -crf 0 -preset ultrafast -f mpegts "udp://local IP:6666"

Then open VLC and choose network stream and enter udp://@127.0.0.1:6666

Latest VLC Media Player? You can also try latest beta version 2.2.2.

And be sure to use VLC Media player 32-bit version.

    Your error is software used.

For C985 use LGHD Stream Engine. LGP Stream Engine only Live Gamer Portable or C875.
