  1. I've tried about 5 different VLC download sites and they all stall at the very end. The main VLC site hasn't fixed this problem in months. Anyone have the latest copy they could upload somewhere? Thanks.

If those don't work, as you're implying... are you having problems with the same version download from practically everywhere it's been uploaded?

Edit: Hmm. Just tried to download the 32-bit installer for 2.2.1, from the first direct link. It only downloaded about 15%, and then stopped (my browser popped up the 'downloads finished' message). Maybe there's some issues with the server at the moment. Baldrick?

They all download fine from here. I tried with a very slow connection to see if it timeouts but nope.

No antivirus program that stops/blocks the downloads?

    You could also download from:
    http://download.videolan.org/vlc/2.2.1/win32/
    http://download.videolan.org/vlc/2.2.1/win64/

And last try with another browser.

  4. These are portable versions of VLC. I'm looking to install them to my computer.

Well, last night, I'd made that attempt to download from my Linux system (personal system, no AV). I tried it again (same link/file) tonight on both the Linux system, and my main Windows system, and both attempts worked with no issues. Maybe it was a fluke.

The VLC installer is listed there as well: http://download.videolan.org/vlc/2.2.1/win32/vlc-2.2.1-win32.exe

    Alternate link: http://www.mirrorservice.org/sites/videolan.org/vlc/2.2.1/win32/vlc-2.2.1-win32.exe
