I'm using Nero 5.5.1.8 to convert and burn DIVX files into VCD (and VirtualDub to split them in half). Everything works great, but if the DIVX is in 16:9 aspect ratio, when it's converted to VCD, the picture is scruntched to fit 4:3 aspect ratio. How can I convert the DIVX to a 4:3 "Letterbox" format where the picture is 16:9, but there are black bars above and below the picture to make it fit in a 4:3 screen? Did my question make sense?

Use Panasonic MPEG1 Encoder 2.51 to make VCD-Streams!
You can calculate the new hight like this:
NH = Width of your DivX / 4 x 3
Now NH - hight of your DivX = number of points you should add!
Ex: when you get 80: add 2 x 40 points of black borders -
Thanks for the help, but let me make sure I got this right. If the size of my DivX is 640x272, the formula would be 640 / 4 x 3 which would equal 480. Subtract 272 and you get 208. So I would want to put 104 points of black borders on both the top and the bottom?
Is that right??
