Very new here.. I have a very very basic question, about a segment of the program mediainfo.. interpretation?
I captured a movie with debut into a mkv file.. If mediainfo says interlace=(0), does that mean the video was filmed progressive in opposed to interlaced? I can only seem to find complex answers on google on this. Much appreciated.

I've never seen MediaInfo say "interlace=(0)". Only "Scan Type: Interlaced" or Progressive. In any case, at best, it can only tell you that the video is flagged interlaced or progressive. It doesn't actually look at the frames to see if they are interlaced or progressive. And it can't tell you anything about how the movie was filmed. But "film" implies progressive because there's no such thing as interlaced film.
