[Solved] MP4 No Sound [bad record without sound]

Hello!

My friend recorded a video with mp4 format but when we sit on computer found that there is no sound.

I have tried VLC, MPC-HC latest version, mpv on Linux , no one can show any sound sign.

I suspect that is recorded without audio, but I'm not entirely sure. I have no clue anymore, please any help.

Edit: tested on Windows 7 Ultimate / Linux Debian 8.2

he must have had recording volume off, or his fingers over the mic

I doubt that he would have made any errors during registration, any of these you noted thee wizard. (bad for him, a record that gone in vain)

I will ask for confirmation, how the heck he recorded.

...Then here we can't do anything else.

errors during 'registraion' ?

do you mean recording ?

media info shows 0% of the file as audio
but shows an audio format
to me that means it has a 'Blank' audio tract,
same thing as if you used a camcorder with out the mic plugged in
OR the record volume turned off
unless there is an operational defect in the phone
it was operated incorrectly

Well, with "registration" i mean recording, sorry.

I haven't yet received a confirmation from the author but with the numerous possibility is that he recorded with volume turned off.
I suspect more of it.

Install Audacity and the ffmpeg source plugin. Open one of your video files with it. Is the audio track flat? Then the file has an audio track but it's silent.
