    I've got 7 avi files named 1 ,2,3, 4, 5, 6.avi
When I try to join 1-6 all at the same time WMP is giving me error as soon as I scrool to the part of the 2.avi
    I try 1-3 and 4-6
but I can't join anything else to both of them.

The problem seem to be it can't go more than 2Gb.
    (I think)
WMP can't read the file if it is more than 2Gb.
(I've tryed using PowerDVD, The Playa, Playcenter2, DivX Player..etc)

However, when I combine 1-6 (4Gb) and reencode it to 700MB
    everything works like magic.

    My spec: (if it matters)
    1.4G T-Bird
    256Mb DDR
    Asus V8200 Deluxe
Plenty of HD space with DMA enabled

  2. WMP is choking on all the information.

combine your (i assume) huffy avi files and play it but dont move the scroll bar and it will play all the way through showing that there are no errors but if you try to move the slider WMP tries to read to much to fast and returns a false error.

    oh yeah also...

windows 9x and ME use the fat32 file system and does not support files over 2 gig

windows 2000 and XP(crap) when using the fat32 file system support up 4 gig files

windows 2000 and XP(crap) when using the NTFS file system supports large files. i dont recall the exact number of gigs but i have gone to 18 gig in a single file with no problems.
    peace out,
    dumwaldo
