So I burned a DVD disc with 3 folders in it, on one of them I put about 1000+ MP3s, about 2GB in total, on others were some vids and some more audios. Afterwards, I went on to add some more files since the disc was multi-session, but I mistakenly renamed the folder with the MP3s, then I renamed it back again to the original name, checked Finalize disc, and hit "Burn." Only to see that the MP3 folder was empty now. Previously it wasn't. What might have caused that? I was using BurnAware Free, and making a Data Disc. Is there a way to prevent that? Does renaming folders always lead to files inside being deleted? Your opinions on this please.

I am trying to get my head around this 'multi-session'
Only one session can ever be accessed. That renaming could well have closed the existing session leaving an empty folder with the new name.
As Scott states, the original files have not been deleted (although they might get over-written by the subsequent writes)
