  1. My husband recently bought a I-O Data capture card because he wants to stream with his SNES, and it had very good reviews. We installed it on our laptop and everything installed fine, and the I-O Data device is recognized by the laptop. We already had OBS downloaded and it does not show up for that, and so we tried AmarecTV, the device shows up in the list but there is no option for an input, and when opening AmarecTV, it says no capture device found. We have spent hours trying to get this to work, and I have done everything such as installing certain codecs, uninstalling everything and reinstalling it, and used it on my sisters laptop to make sure it wasn't the actual cable, everything worked fine on her laptop though. All my drivers are up to date and I have no idea what could be causing this to happen. I have the AmarecTV Live installed and the icon with the yellow bouncing ball shows up in OBS when trying to connect the two. We have a Gateway, Windows 7 64 bit laptop, and I've also already tried opening things in 32 bit. In OBS when connecting to AmarecTV, it first started out as a red screen, then progressed to the AmarecTV Live icon after messing around with things, but that's as far as it went. The actual AmarecTV screen is black and absolutely will not recognize there is a capture card. Any thoughts would be appreciated.

Does it come with its own software? Does it work?

I guess you have checked http://www.amazon.com/DATA-connection-video-capture-GV-USB2/dp/B00428BF1Y for tips and reviews ?

  3. The software came with the device, and it is recognized by the laptop, but not by OBS or AmarecTV. I know it must be something on my laptop because my husband has been borrowing my sisters laptop to stream instead, and it works fine on her laptop. We finally gave up because we literally have tried everything that anyone on the internet recommended to do, and can't figure out why something so simple like this is not able to be fixed. I thought maybe it was our actual USB ports, but they are 2.0, and that's what they device requires, plus the actual laptop recognizes everything in the USB ports, its just the programs that won't. I guess we will just have to wait until we get a new computer
