Unfortunately this seems to be a fault widespread with this editor, at least on the internet. If you go to search 'vsdc free video editor crashes' you find a ton of references to the same things. It references using 30% of your cpu which is about 280MB out of 8 GB and also seems to have a problem with videos longer than 15 minutes?

You might try what several threads suggest:

To fix VSDC from crashing try to set manually virtual memory in windows, or use already cut smaller videos in Video Free Editor.

To what amount should we adjust the virtual memory? Any help in the process would be appreciated.

I have it on 2550MB and max. is set to 12750MB. Still without any crash.

  5. I set it from 4000 to 16000 MB and it still freezes and crashes. Is there another solution?

On my Laptop it does not freeze, only on my PC which has 8 GB RAM, why?

I even have a bigger file with 120 MB in it. On my PC the videofile is 60 MB
