  1. I'm new here and kinda a noob so please be helpful and nice...

I have a few videos that wont play in MPC-HC correctly there is video playing but no audio tracks are even recognised, It playes in Windows media player with audio so I know its the player or the codecs

I use MPC-HC + CCCP I also uninstalled CCCP and tried K-Lite Codec Pack with same results (Codecs are using default settings)

  2. Get rid of the codec packs, install LAVfilters, try again after a reboot.

It's not important the problem be solved, only that the blame for the mistake is assigned correctly

  3. Was the video captured with a phone? Digital Camera? possibly Kodak? You could try converting out of the mp4 isom v1 to mp4 avc/aac. I'd use ffmpeg or WinFF etc.

Look at it with MP4box -info instead. Check the enabled flag, if that's fine, try mp4box -diso and look for odd elements. Maybe MPC-HC is obeying a command Media Player is ignoring.
