Sadly my recent notebook is too old, needs to upgrade or by another one to keep up with editing my recent video files.
The files I need to edit has such specs: 1920x1280 25fps 24mbps
If I would upgrade, I could build in these to my laptop for a considerable price:
Intel PM45 chipset with ATI Mobility Radeon HD 4330 GPU
Intel X9100 CPU
Actually I can edit the videos almost fluently in Sony Vegas at the moment with minor frame drops during preview, but the rendering is way too much. It should be at least 50% faster. Now I have an Intel GL40 chipset with integrated graphics and Intel T3500.
I would like to mention that I am not a professional video maker, I am just an amateur who edits occasionally.
Could this upgrade serve as a satisfying config for editing the mentioned video files, or this is just too old? As I know such a config was premium around the time when my camcorder was released, but I am not sure how it relates in performance to that technology the camcorder represents.
