I'm more used to MPC-HC than Potplayer, but I'm getting smoother playback with HEVC 10bit video using Potplayer over MPC-HC's built-in LAV decoder. Is Potplayer's built-in FFmpeg Decoder available separately as a Directshow filter that MPC-HC could use?

  2. Nope, it's not directshow type. I think it's not different from other ffmpeg build libraries as potplayer simply use that. There are nightly builds of lav filters. Did you try it?

No. I just assumed LAV was a lost cause for 10bit hevc on a 2012 mac mini. I was surprised how perfectly smooth potplayer was. Are there any other ffmpeg directshow filters out there?
