No sound on audition stream

I am trying to record streaming sound with audition. Win 7 64 bit. no stereo mix. Using virtual audio cable. Seems to record but no sound on file and there are no waves to be seen. Here is media info

You've recorded nothing.

Haven't used VAC but based on this information from CNet it would seem most likely you haven't set it up properly:
