  1. Hi. Sometimes I have a video (avi or mp4) with clicks or pops to be removed or perhaps the volume needs to be changed on just a part of the video. To do this, I open the video with WavePad (an audio editor similar to Audacity), edit the audio and save as mp3.

I then open the video clip with Avidemux, add the newly created mp3 track and save as a new video. Fairly often (and annoyingly), the new video has a split-second burst of static at the start. My fix is to open the new video with Wavepad, silence the static and save a SECOND mp3 file which I then add to the original video. Problem solved.

Has anyone else had this problem? Do you have a better workaround than mine?

Why don't you just save it as a wav file after cleanup, then allow AviDemux to change it to MP3?

  3. Hi hech54 and thank you very much, you're a star. I tried your suggestion on my most recent problem file and it worked a treat.

    All the best to you.
