    Hi,

can you recommend me a video player for my new Android Smart TV Philips?
I don't like the player of the TV because it does not support external subtitles over DLNA.
I nee player with good subtitle support and options (size and position).
Any help will be much appreciated. Thanks in advance.

There is still the problem of installing the player on the OP's Philips smart TV. The question is will the OP's Philips smart TV allow him to install an app not obtained via the TV's official apps list? If not then he'd have to try to root/jailbreak the TV.

[Edit]I guess there is a way to install foreign apps for at least some Philips Smart TVs, but someone would use it at their own risk: http://blog.ostebaronen.dk/2015/06/enabling-unknown-sources-on-phillips.html
