Hey, guys! I'm having the following problem: I replaced the warnings, adverts and commercials (the kinds almost every dvd has) of a dvd movie with other ones. When I play it on my DVD Player they have no sound. I think this has something to do with the fact that in pgcedit, on the "domain stream attributes" page it shows that there were no audio streams in the original ads. Now, how can I enable them to have sound??? Please help!!!![]()

When I click the "Domain Atttributes" on the VMGM (in pgcedit) containing the commercial, it says "No Audio Streams"

You can not have a video DVD with no audio. It wouldn't comply with the specifications for a video DVD.

Well, obviously only the intros (my bad
, they were not exactly commercials, they were 20 Century Fox Intros) appear to have no sound, they're silent; all the other things (Menus, Movie, etc) have an audio.

If you are sure that your clips have audio, and you know the format of the audio track, you can try this:
- Double-click on the PGC of the clip to open the PGC Editor. In the "Audio Track to Stream Map" frame, click the first button (#0, with the label "none"). Leave the slider to 0 and click "Set". OK the PGC Editor.
- Right-click the PGC to open the Domain Stream Attributes window. You should now see a warning with something like this:
Code:There are 0 audio tracks defined for the VTST domain in the VTSI_MAT table of the VTST 2. 1 audio tracks are really used by the PGCs. Fix the number of audio tracks in VTSI_MAT to 1?
- Now, you should see one audio track in the Stream Attributes window. Click the "AC3 (1 channel)" button to edit the characteristics of the audio stream. OK all dialogs and save.
That should work. If the audio is still not audible, it's probably because you have not encoded the audio parameters correctly in the last step. Or you may have to change the stream number (with the slider) in the first step, but normally a clip with only a single audio track should use the stream number 0. Or, of course, your clip has no audio at all, or it has an audio track in a format not compatible with the DVD-Videos. In the last case, you have to re-encode that audio, remux the clip and re-import it.r0lZ - PgcEdit homepage Hosted by VideoHelp (Thanks Baldrick)

The spec may claim it, but you can author audio-less discs without issue.

It is NOT mandatory and there doesn't have to exist an audio track!

Cornucopia is rigth . I looked it up at "the Unofficial DVD specifications" and it says:
The DVD specifications require the video and its optional audio component to be recorded in specific data formats.
My mistake.
