FIle M4V video can't play and suddenly change to unknown extension

Hey everyone, i newbie in the forum

Here is my problem

My Video in my computer have a M4V extension but tonight my file video in M4V extension suddenly change to unknown extension and change name file, when i play to vlc, quicktime, i-tunnes, windows media player the video can't play. And i try to convert with converter software but the problem can't fix. Can someone tell me if there's a solution of this?

Open the video with mediainfo and see what it says. But I guess it's some kind of protection.

Thanks Baldrick for the advice, but when i try open with media info can't open and not info about the video. No same information like a open *.mpeg/mov/mkv, etc

It's probably a copy protected m4v/mp4. Nope I have no idea to decrypt it.
