AHD works just fine but then after creating a new project, AHD can't detect the same media anymore. It detects the SRT file, but not the MP4. But five minutes ago, it can still detect the MP4. I tried a different media format (MKV), and the same problem happens.

I tried uninstalling and installing the software but it's still can't detect any media. It doesn't appear on the timeline either.

    What should I do?

Can you play all media in windows media player? Maybe you just need ffdshow or lav filters.

    Or use Subtitle Edit!

  3. Hello,
AHD Subtitles Maker depends on DirectShow components for media playback, thus you need DirectShow filters to support more media types, by default, Windows® come with these formats.
For the media you try to open with ASM, please make sure that it is playable with Windows Media Player (not VLC or other player). If not, please install media codec pack (such as K-Lite Media Codec, or LAVFilters as provided by "Baldrick" in the reply above) which install more direct show filters in your system and may fix the problem.
If the media you try to open is not visible when browsing for media just set the browser filter to "All Files", ASM should detect and open the media if it is playable in your system with Windows Media Player.

If the problem remains, please send feedback <here>

    Hope this help

  4. This happen to me too. I was working on a video and because AHD subtitle doesn't have preview feature, I decided to export my project without finishing it. But when I tried to go back and finish it, the media won't show up anymore. My video can be played in windows media maker. I don't think the problem came from the video. I think it came from the application itself.
