I'm working on a website project. There will be 25 videos, 3-9 seconds long, 480x240, mp4.
They look okay on my website but they load and refresh really sloooow.
Q- Would compression help speed up the process ? If so, what settings do you suggest?

What do you mean specifically by "refresh" ?

But loading and slow page refreshes might be a bandwidth I/O issue . For example, a slow host or slow internet connection. If bandwidth is the issue then lower bitrate videos will help . Slow refresh can also indicate other concurrent problems like slow advertisement loading. And if your page is setup to autoload 25 videos at once, that will cause lag

In terms of the videos themselves, shorter max keyframe intervals will help seeking, but it shouldn't be an issue for 3-9 second long videos. In general, you usually "optimize for streaming" by putting the moov atom a the beginning - this enables you to play the videos immediately before they are downloaded, but again usually not an issue for 3-9 second SD videos
