    I would post this in Win 10, but that seems like more of a debate on how awesome this o/s is. I would like to know how to close the lid and have it not effect MPC or anything for that matter, b/c "do nothing" on battery/plug , does not "do nothing".

    I could be wrong, I'm not super familiar with laptops, but I don't believe it's possible. Closing the lid, disables the screen, which tells the OS to stop all activity (as you can't see it). The only time they function normally with the lid closed, is when used on a docking station.

    Good enough thanks, i can close it 3/4 of the way and turn it.

    Unfortunately you still are. That is for Win 8 anyway, but do nothing as I said does something.

    I was kind of wrong too. If you close the lid, and then start your player or whichever it will still work with the lid closed. No worries. Now I can at least close it.
